Bowmont House
Howtel
Mindrum
Northumberland

Bowmont House was a vacant Methodist chapel and a Listed Building. The proposed conversion of the chapel into tourist accommodation would serve the increasing number of people taking part in outdoor activities in the area.(The chapel is located in the beautiful Northumbrian countryside and is a few miles from the start/finish of the Pennine Way in Town Yetholm).Externally the design had to consider the listed status of the chapel including minimum disturbance to the two storey arched windows on the south elevation and sensitive use of matching materials where refurbishment/repairs were needed. Internally a new first floor was added obviating the need for a new extension.
